Shoot in a room with natural light if possible. If you have little light from your windows, daylight LED lights are closest to natural daylight.
Light yourself from the front and/or sides.
Prevent light coming from behind you since it will blind the camera and make you appear dark.
Don’t place a bright light in your frame, since it will also make you appear darker.
Make sure to avoid strong shadows.
For a full professional lighting setup, use the triangle lighting technique.
